Songs that remind me of...

There are fragrances which remind you of some memories, and then there are songs that remind you of some memories. I was listening to my favorite song 'Naam Ada Likhna' from Yahaan and it took me back to Madison. I used to listen to this song in my apartment many times and my roomate S used to like it too. I remember listening to it on my newly bought Ipod and walking down the lanes of Union South on my way to the CS dept for meeting the 752 TA. Beautiful memories splashed by the sweet melodies of this song....

Everything is relative

I am writing this as this is something i discovered that applies to me and also to anyone and anything else. Might help some readers in some way.
Rest and motion are relative to a frame of reference. Remember the Newtonian Physics lesson? Similarly hot/cold or precisely the temperature has no meaning unless you are comparing it wrt to something. Similarly position has no meaning unless compared to something, each galaxy thinks it is at the center of the universe. So the entire nature or the Universe around us obeys this law of relative comparisons. And we are such a tiny bit of it, to think about it, the entire atoms/molecules composing the Universe are just 3-4% of the Universe. so what are we? we have no option other than to obey the laws of physics.
So in day to day life, we are happy, sad, excited, depressed and what not. But each of those emotions are also relative. You might think why did this happen to me of all. But think about it, relatively you will be definitely better than some other possible situation. However thats not a consolation for being in a bad situation, still think about it...

Looking for something

I was in some ancient book market which resembled the Chandni Chowk Book Bazaar in Delhi. And i was looking for a VLSI book from shop to shop. I dont remember if the people around me were desis or not which would have given me a hint as to where was this Bazaar. But i had someone with me hopping on and off the bus to check out the big bazaar. I dont remember who was that too.But i remember the book i was searching for. I was searching for a VLSI book written by Khaled Hosseni. Yes the same guy who wrote the marvellous Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. Well it was a dream, what else you could expect! :-) . A dream i remember half from last night.
