Kashmiri Dum Aloo


Dum Aloo is a kashmiri delicacy, i gave it a try, here is the recipe:

-Pick up small sized potatoes , peel them and with a fork perforate them all around. Now deep fry them in oil.
-Fry an onion cut into slices in another pan.
-Grind coriander leaves, turmeric, ginger, kashmiri red chillies, cumin seeds, saunf and eliachi in a grinder.
-Once the onions are fried, add the grinded masala to it and heat some more.
-Cut two tomatoes and make a puree out of it and add some curd to it.
-Add the tomato, curd puree to the onion mix and add salt and cook for some time (~10 mins). Also add a cinnamon stick to this.
-Now once the potatoes are fried, add them to the other pan with hot water and cook for a few minutes still the cinnamon smell is strong enough.
-Serve with Tandoori roti or rice.
