Ofcourse, human beings "Homo Sapiens". A specie which evolved from the apes. Apes which evolved from some early vertebrates, which inturn evolved from sea life , which eventually boils down to some cyanobacteria, the originator of life according to the published theories.
Physically we are all a bunch of atoms and molecules, and we were created as a result of Big Bang. These atoms and molecules we are composed of, keep getting recycled everyday. Everyday our composition is different, but ultimately we are all a result of some comet that might have hit the earth or some fragmentation that formed it in the first place, billions of years back. We are just star dust from Big Bang.
Chemically, we are all (all species of plants/animals) organic carbon compounds with some amounts of other elements like zinc, calcium, phosphorous etc. We inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide and there are many chemical reactions going on in our body to keep us alive.
Biologically we are a bunch of cells, the life forming building blocks. These cells carry information on chromosomes and genes, and they manufacture energy for us by burning the food we eat. The genes are probably what separates one specie from another and organisms within the same specie too.
So what is the meaning of alive or dead in terms of the biological, physical and chemical processes. These processes can be conducted in a science laboratory too? So what is it that makes us fit to be called alive? Soon will we be manufacturing life in the lab using the advancements made in genetic engineering? I think yes, considering the fact that scientists have already created genetically altered species of different plants and animals by disrupting the normal genes..
Would Darwin have imagined such a day would come?

Creating life atom by atom someday may perhaps be a possibility, I don't disagree with that.
But, it would miss the esoteric bliss of creation that a mother and father enjoys after seeing their bundle of joy in their lap.
Let there be some amount of mystery in our life so that we expect something unexpected all the time.
Imagine all moments of our life fully known to us a priori. Life will lose its charm. It would make us sink in a deep sea of boredom.
Let the newborn kids have priviledge of that parental love which connects them to their parents in a magical way.
Afterall life has always been a mystery that finally fills unknown and unexpected colors in our lives. Please do not pollute it with all those scientific stuffs all the time.
Intelligence is OK but remember that many things in our very own body are happening without our intelligence and knowledge and cause us think and analyse.

So life is what I perceive is a mystery nothing else. With mystery comes some surprise factor every moment which keeps us alert and alive to be ready in welcoming mode. And you know very well even if you are not welcoming the things are going to happen.
And with no surprise factor for few future events we wait lifelessly, reactionless and unwelcoming-self type for all that is comming our way.
Things foretold are not always bad. But that can not be the life's objective. That is going to spoil the whole entertainment of the life's party.

the most ignored fact of life by the modern science is that, it doesnot go beyond the material level or mind level. Going beyond the material and mind level, the soul or counciousness level is not possible because, science may make a soul to enter the body or it might create certain conditions in which the soul can take a body, but the science cannot create the soul itself. In face, even religion or science cannot touch the soul or counciousness level. Only the soul or speck of counciousness is the original self and nothing is the original self and except for the soul, eveerything else with respect to an individuality is subjected to chenge continuously. Body(means all the material level aspects), mind are subjected to change, since the soul , the original individuality creates the mind and body and afdter their use, it shreds them or in case of a forceful death, the soul is made to shred the body and mind(mind also gets shred at a even deeper level death that is beyond physical death of the body).
1.Universal counciousness(GOD or ALLAH or Heavenly father or whatever you refer to it)
2.Individual counciouosness(self or individuality or soul)
3.Will power
4.Mind
5.Body
this is the secret of the creation. Every individual originates from thee universal counciousness, that is with in and beyond the creation and is above time and space constraints.
Individuality is assumed by the speck of universal counciousness(speck of universal soul) out of desire to enjoy the creation by the universal soul and hence comes in to the world to enjoy the world and for enjoying the world, physicaal senses as well as the sense of mind need to be there annd hence they are taken by the soul.
so, the ultimate reason for the individuality is the desire. reduce gthe desires and you will start experiencing the universal oneness step by step.
