Memories of the past strike the soul,
like the waves hitting the sea shore,
Relentless, powerful, sweet and sour.

They make the heart weigh pounds of flesh,
lugging someone who fails to refresh,
of reasons unknown, of things unsaid.

Still life goes on every day,
nothing matters, you cry or pray,
things you hide or you say.

Past is dead, future is away,
where is the hope, where is the ray,
of enduring belief that wont sway.

Functionality of an individual with the surrounding civilised/ evolved-world requires help of WORDs that we are taught. That is OK.

But slowly these learned words sneak into our very personal inner-world stealthly and start playing tricks. They drive us into nostalgia and many more other territories that become concerning factor in our life. All these words like MEMORIES, HOPE, ENDURING BELIEF, SOUL, PRAY etc that u have mentioned in the poem, become part of an individual's mind and life. These words appear a bit of intrusion in one's life when one's awareness is of a certain higher level like the level of consciosness under which this poem has been penned. But many times most of us get swayed by these word-guests in our mind as they get embedded deeply winto our consciousness and become inseparable from our identity. In this situation they create havoc in our life. They appear very strong and they make our whole being wander as per their dictats.

I am not condemning thoughts of our mind. They are part of our being any way. What I am trying to point is the fact that one should be aware of all that this evolving entity or our brain called "MIND" does in our 'Top-floor' of the body. And as I can see the blog writer appears to be in the same good state of awareness.

Observing the mind-game.

You know Dalai Lama said once
"Faith is OK but you can even survive without it"

"Faith" word is only symbolic here I believe, you can put any word in its place.

Good luck
